Race Night

The Friends of Eastbourne Hospital invite you to a night of energy and excitement – at the virtual races! Held at the Crown & Anchor pub on Marine Parade in Eastbourne, the evening will include eight UK horse races (plus a final novelty pig race), displayed on the big screen, with the opportunity to bet and cheer on each one.

Liven it up even more by choosing to own one of the runners in any given race and not only will you be announced across the room but there will be a prize if you/your horse wins! Or let us know if you’d like to name your own, and get in touch to complete the ownership! Owning a horse or pig costs £10.

Furthermore there are race sponsorship option for individuals and companies who would like to support us and have their business or events announced in the race programme and build-up. Sponsorship costs £25, please do contact the Office if you would like to sponsor a race.

Entry to the event is £15 and must be booked in advance. The £15 entry includes a full buffet meal.

Doors open at 7pm for first race at 7.30pm. All payment options will be available, but we recommend you bring cash if possible as each bet costs £1, and therefore having cash/coins will make transactions simpler and speedier.

There will also be a raffle on the night.
