Open Gardens 2025: Friston Place

Friston Place

Friston Place is a historic garden in an Elizabethan setting with Italian structure and precision, English, traditional planting. This is a garden of many different areas, do allow plenty of time for your visit so you get chance to see it all.

For directions, take the A259 towards Seaford. At the top of the hill past East Dean turn right towards Jevington. Follow the open garden signs and you will find off-road parking.

The gardens are open in all weather, and entry is by donation. The Friends volunteers will be selling tickets for the raffle, and manning refreshment stalls. We do offer contactless payments, although with a sometimes unreliable signal, cash is always advised to avoid disappointment. Dogs, unfortunately, are not allowed at the Open Gardens.
