As ever, there were controversial questions, pleas for half points and enormous amounts of fun. It was the third and final Friends Quiz of 2022 and it was a tense one! The announcement after a few rounds that there were only three points separating all 15 teams showed how evenly matched the tables were, and this remained the theme right to the end when the win came down to not one, but two tie-break questions. In the end it was the Pevensey Bay Packers (knowing that Knutsford is the English town named after King Canute) who claimed victory. That closely-fought second place went to Quizzy McQuizface, followed by Off Our Trollies, Submariners, Clueless, Pointless Sisters, The Managers Team, Cerebral Six, Willingdon Wanderers, Sir Jasper Devenish, The Geeks, Five Poppies, Universally Challenged, Neptune and the Brewer Bunch. Thank you to everyone who came, quizzed and supported the Friends. The evening made an amazing £735 – a superb end to the 2022 quiz run.
