Quiz Night – April

There were heads in hands, deep concentration and crossings-outs all around the room, but it was the Pevensey Bay Packers who pulled clear in the final round to take the title of the Friends’ April 2022 Quiz Winners! Held at the Fishermen’s Club in Royal Parade, the event was superbly hosted with the rounds made up of quiz classics including geography, food and drink, science and nature, and music, but with curveballs like company logos and a final, three-layered Bond round also thrown in. There was food, drinks and the ever-popular raffle which gave cause for celebration where the quiz answers themselves had proved a little elusive, but the biggest result of the evening was the wonderful £485 which the event raised for the Friends. A very big thank you to the quiz organisers, to all who came and to the wonderful staff of the Fishermen’s Club who manned a busy bar and provided an excellent venue.
