Mixed Doubles Tennis Tournament

The Friends of Eastbourne Hospital would like to thank the 40 tennis players who took part in the 2019 Mixed Doubles Tennis Tournament , which was held on a sunny Sunday afternoon at the beginning of May.  The event made £1,057 towards the Eastbourne DGH and the Friends Special Project for 2019, to raise £500,000 to equip the newly enlarged Urology Investigation Suite which will provide a one-stop diagnostic clinic for urology cancers.  Thanks go to Eastbourne College for the use of the Beresfor...

Resuscitation equipment donated by Friends

A mechanical device to aid cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) called a LUCAS (Lund University Cardiac Arrest System) has been donated by the Friends of Eastbourne Hospital. The device will be mainly used in the cardiac catheter lab but is available to be used across the hospital. A new secure drug cabinet with high tech fingerprint security has been donated the operating theatres at Eastbourne DGH by the Friends of Eastbourne Hospital. The new drug cabinet has all the medicines required by theatre staff in a computer controlled user ID and fingerprint access security system only allowing the correct medicine required by a doctor or nurse to be dispensed.  The cabinet is linked by computer to pharmacy to ensure stock levels are maintained.
