This year’s Sugar Ray Golf Day organised by Eastbourne Motoring Centre Ltd, was held at the Royal Eastbourne Golf Club on Friday 5th October in beautiful sunshine. The event is held annually in memory of Chris Lambird, whose nick name was ‘Sugar Ray’ and was well supported with 28 teams of 4 playing 18 holes of golf followed by a slap-up meal, charity raffle and auction with all proceeds being donated to the Friends of Eastbourne Hospital. The event raised approximately £9,400 towards the Friends Special Project for 2018/19 and the Eastbourne DGH.
The FoEH and Eastbourne Motoring Centre would like to relay grateful thanks to the team at the Royal Golf Course, all those who took part on the day and the numerous individuals and local businesses that generously donated prizes and their time to make the day a real success. The FoEH would also like to thank Oliver Hodges and his team of helpers for organising such a great event.
