Bladder scanner donation

A bladder scanner, which is used to assess the emptying capacity of the bladder, has been donated to the Urology Investigation Suite at Eastbourne DGH, thanks to the kindness of the Royal Eastbourne Golf Club and the Friends of Eastbourne Hospital.

Claire Bishop, Head of Nursing said: “The Urology team were delighted to welcome the captains of the Royal Eastbourne Golf Club, who have fund-raised for the Friends of Eastbourne Hospital to raise a total of nearly £12,000 for the purchase of a bladder scanner, for our new Urology Investigation Suite. We would like to thank both the golf club and the Friends for their generosity.”

Harry Walmsley, Chairman of The Friends of Eastbourne Hospital said: “The Friends of Eastbourne Hospital are delighted along with the Royal Eastbourne Golf Club to be able to donate this equipment to the Urology Investigation Suite. My thanks, and that of the Friends of Eastbourne Hospital is to all those local people who make buying equipment like this possible through their donations to the Friends.”
